Happy New Year

PAMELA ZEMBANI

Welcome Back!

January is a threshold month. It carries both the weight of what has been and the quiet promise of what’s becoming. It asks us to pause, to reorient, and to choose how we step forward — not just in our work, but in our humanity. This issue of CammaneX Magazine was created in that spirit.

We begin this new chapter with a meaningful milestone. In February, CammaneX Magazine moves to its new home at www.cammanexmagazine.com — a space designed to reflect the depth, care, and intentionality of the stories we now choose to tell. This shift is not merely technical. It is symbolic. It marks a deeper commitment to slow journalism, to human leadership, and to presence in a world that relentlessly rewards speed over meaning. This new home is a statement: that what is thoughtful deserves space, that what is human deserves time, and that leadership deserves to be explored with nuance rather than noise.

It is also why we chose Nausheen Chen as our January cover feature. Nausheen embodies the essence of this issue — clarity without force, power without performance, and leadership rooted in self-awareness rather than spectacle. Her presence reflects what we believe the future of leadership quietly requires: emotional intelligence, discernment, and the courage to lead from within before leading others. Featuring her on our cover was not a choice of visibility, but of values. It was an editorial decision made with deep intention.

This issue is held together by generosity. We are profoundly grateful that Jenn Drummond, in the midst of an extraordinarily full life, said yes — offering us her time, her perspective, and her voice with the same grounded presence she brings to everything she leads. Her willingness to pause with us is a gift we do not take lightly. We are equally moved by Loren Benberry, who allowed us to tell her story while navigating the reality of sick family members. That act alone reflects the quiet strength her leadership represents: showing up with grace when life is heavy, and trusting us to hold her story with care.

This issue is also shaped by integrity — the kind that does not announce itself.Charles Tyler brought that integrity into every word and reflection he shared, reminding us that leadership without ethics is simply noise. Navin Mirania continues this thread, inviting us into the daily practice of empathetic leadership — the kind that holds boundaries and compassion in the same breath. His work asks us to move beyond good intentions and into embodied responsibility.

And finally, Colette’s story matters because it reminds us why we do this at all. Her journey speaks to the quiet courage of being human at work — to the unseen labor so many carry while still choosing to show up. It is a story that needed to be told, and we are honored to be the ones entrusted with telling it.

This January issue is not loud.
It is not rushed.
It is not performative.
It is deliberate.
It is human.
It is an invitation — to lead softly, clearly, and with presence.
